The True Story of Thanksgiving Only in Jesus, the paragon of creaturely appreciation, are we able to become the kind of persistently thankful people God created us to be and fulfill the human destiny of thanksgiving. Thankful to Whom? AN ANCIENT PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING May grace come, and may this world pass away.Hosanna to the God of David. If anyone is holy, let him come; if anyone is not, let him repent. Maranatha! Amen.
Giving thanks is an intentional looking away from self and looking up to God, confessing He is the source of all good things.
