Daily Surrender (January 7, 2016)

Here’s your daily dose of blog posts, inspirational quotes and a video, that will help you think more Biblically and challenge you to surrender daily to your Savior.

You Don’t Need A Bible Reading Plan; Try A Philosophy As the new year gets underway, we find ourselves squarely in resolution season. Of course in about three weeks we will be in the heart of resolution breaking season followed in late February by resolution forgetting season. And for Christians one of the most commonly made and then abandoned resolutions is to read through the Bible in the coming year, and this is usually done using a reading plan. If you are the type that likes and responds to regimen and can keep it from becoming a simple task to be completed and continue to approach the Word of God with a worshipful heart, more power to you. But for the rest of us, let me make a modest proposal. You don’t need a Bible reading plan; you need a philosophy.

God already HAS spoken Adam 4 D with a helpful answer to those who wish to hear from God.

Should you leave a church if it has a woman pastor? We must remain faithful to Scripture, and this requires that we act. If I believe that women are not to teach and exercise authority in the Church and that the pastorate is reserved for elders who are husbands of one wife, then how could I in good conscience sit under the teaching of those who would contradict such clear Scripture? I could not. Could you? Let’s look at what the Bible says.
