Should women be drafted in the army?, Only one race is considered microaggression, the cowboy and the shepherd and more…
Sisters-in-Arms: women in combat The real issue isn’t can a woman cope with combat, but should she have to? Women can and do competently step in if and when men neglect their duties. But do we really want to make this the norm rather than a sad necessary exception?
Phrase “Only One Race” Considered to be a Microaggression Included on the long list of so-called microaggressions is the theme of “color blindness,” defined as “Statements that indicate that a White person does not want to or need to acknowledge race.” The list includes statements that you shouldn’t say, such as, “I don’t believe in race,” or “There’s only one race, the human race.” Apparently refusing to acknowledge so-called “race” is offensive because it denies the individual “races” of people.
THE IMPORTANCE OF PARENTAL ALIGNMENT As parents, we’ve all been there: we’re faced with an ‘issue’ relating to one of our kids (or more), and because you and your spouse are two very different people, there can be very different perspectives on how these ‘issues’ with our kids should be handled…What’s the solution? Parental alignment.
