PEACE ON EARTH – THE MESSAGE OF CHRISTMAS! Many are looking for peace today, but they only desire material well-being. The real message of Christmas is that we can have peace with God. Our eternal state depends on it. If you know Christ, are you experiencing peace? Believers can leave their burdens in the hands of God. We have the privilege of prayer. We can talk to God and trust in His sovereign, loving wisdom and power. Believers can renew their minds through the Word of God. Only then their thoughts will be true, honorable, pure, honorable, just, lovely and commendable. Believers can enjoy the fellowship of life in the local church.
Christmas: Christ in you Celebrate Christmas, exalt our Savior, linger long over His word and in worship of Him. In doing so, we are “beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit” (2 Corinthians 3:18). Today, and every other day of the year, we live between the fulfilled promise of His birth and the anticipated promise of His return. The world may not now see Jesus, but they can and must see Jesus in you.
My Favorite Santa Claus Story There are a lot of Santa Claus stories floating around this time of year. Almost all of them are completely based in fantasy. Flying reindeer; a sleigh full of gifts; precarious chimney climbing; a fluffy red suit — all of that is total fiction. But when my kids used to ask me, “Dad, is Santa Claus real?” I didn’t always say “No.” At least not right away. (Pause for dramatic effect.)
If we could condense all the truths of Christmas into only three words, these would be the words: “God with us.” We tend to focus our attention at Christmas on the infancy of Christ. The greater truth of the holiday is His deity. More astonishing than a baby in the manger is the truth that this promised baby is the omnipotent Creator of the heavens and the earth! – John Macarthur
“Oh, how it will rejoice me to hear that some poor soul this day was born again. Then it would be a Christmas Day indeed!” – George Whitfield
I would recommend watching this it’s only 18 minutes but it’s worth every second. Especially if you have unbelieving family around today or the next few days.
